In some situations, our services are provided directly to the asset manager but delivered in close coordination with the fund administrator. In other situations, our services are fully combined with those of the administrator or used in the background. Financial reporting is an area where we work particularly closely with fund administrators. Some administrators find it very costly to maintain a fully resourced financial reporting department with associated reporting systems, report production tools and multilingual capabilities. FundAssist provides a financial reporting service that can become your financial reporting department or can provide additional capacity for peak reporting periods, for particular clients or for particular reporting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, Irish GAAP etc. Our investor and distributor communications services are used extensively by fund administrators or coordinated by fund administrators on behalf of their clients. Our support for both electronic and conventional print media including our extensive language capabilities means that an administrator is able to work with a single highly experienced partner to meet the print and distribution needs of a client. FundAssist works closely with administrators to service the needs of clients with UCITS funds, non-UCITS funds and Newcits funds. Of particular relevance is our country registration service for UCITS and Newcits funds and our support for subsequent distribution arrangements both within the EU and increasingly into Asia and South America. The introduction of UCITS IV is presenting new opportunities to work closely with administrators. We are collaborating on the preparation and production of the Key Investor Information Document to ensure that asset managers have a smooth transition to the new requirements. We assist with extracting and collating the information maintained by administrators on their systems and providing technological solutions to create the necessary KIID documents. Over time, asset managers are likely to take advantage of the new possibilities for master-feeder structures and Management Company passporting afforded by UCITS IV. Working with FundAssist, administrators can offer useful support to clients in their fund restructuring projects. The FundAssist shareholder meeting services are particularly relevant where fund restructuring decisions will require shareholder approval.
